warmmilkrecords is our attempt to contribute to the exciting "world of sounds" with releasing experimental, passionate and emotional records. we see ourselves bound to the tradition of countless of tiny independent-labels that release records they love. and so do we! we will release all kinds of music with no limitation in genres. this includes the embrace of sounds we have no roots in ourselves. we have open ears and hearts and plan on keeping them. the only criteria are that we love it and find a connection to the musicians and their musical visions.

we believe in mutual respect and mutual understanding as the basis for every relationship. this is what this label is built on and will be the foundation of the relationships we form with everyone we work together and share art and thoughts through warmmilkrecords, whether it be artists, printers, bookers, distributors, friends, etc..

the same respect we show for the people will be shown for the art itself. that means we are not trying to establish or milk musical or whatsoever trends. we only care about real things and about them we care a lot.

this is not so much a reaction to the way the music business is generally set up (although we sure believe it's rotten and stinks) as it is our understanding of how people and art should be treated.

music is not the only art-form we care about. we work together with artists to create packaging that fits the music of every release or the musicians bring in their own ideas and we help them to make it work. this is important to us because the packaging refers to the music and will add to determine it's character.

but we wanted to take it one step further and so we set up a space that holds the possibility for independent art as such to be discovered. and starting from there artists and people who care about art will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and/or discuss art and topics around it and/or inspire each other. our hope is, that this will grow into a network that will have people from everywhere in the world participate.
